I offer a free 15-minute consultation call for new clients. It’s a chance for us to connect, for you to ask any questions, and for me to share a bit more about how I work. You can reach out through my contact page or email me directly at ronisilbersteintherapy@gmail.com.

Yes—I’m currently welcoming a small number of new clients. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out and we can see if we might be a good fit.

Our first session is a space to begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and how I can support you. It’s also a time for you to ask any lingering questions about me or my approach—this is your space, and I want it to feel that way from the start.

Sessions are typically 45–55 minutes, with most landing around the 50-minute mark.

I usually recommend meeting weekly, especially in the beginning, to build consistency and momentum in our work. That said, we can always talk about what feels manageable and right for you.
-
Right now, I’m offering virtual sessions only. I’m currently based in Los Angeles and hope to offer in-person sessions in the future—if that’s something you’re interested in, I’d be happy to keep you in the loop if and when it becomes available.

While I’ve worked with a range of concerns and diagnoses, my passion and specialty lie in working with trauma (particularly childhood trauma and PTSD), anxiety, self-worth, identity exploration, and relationship issues. At this time, I don’t work with active suicidality, eating disorders, or addiction, and I’m happy to help you find a referral if you need support in those areas.

Yes—therapy is confidential within certain legal and ethical limits. I’ll always be transparent about those boundaries, and we can talk them through in session. If you're using insurance, keep in mind that your provider may receive some information about our work together. If you’re working with other mental health providers (like a psychiatrist or couples’ counselor), I may ask for your permission to collaborate with them as part of your care.
-
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice (or no-shows) will be charged the full session fee.

At this time, I work exclusively with adult individuals. My training and focus are in individual therapy, and I find that this is where I’m best able to offer meaningful, attuned support. If you’re looking for couples or family therapy, I’d be happy to help refer you to someone who specializes in that work.
